massive africa express gig in paris – aug 5th!

here’s a little headsup – there’s going to be a massive africa express gig happening next month! a huge free event in the centre of paris, part of the Festival FnacIndétendances.. will include 7 hours of jamming and improvised collaborations with some rather large names, both african and western. don’t miss out

So far, the line-up for the Africa Express night contains : Damon Albarn, Amadou & Mariam, Roots Manuva, Tony Allen, Oumou Sangare, Mongrel, Rachid Taha, Bashy,The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Souad Massi, Vieux Farka Toure, Patrick Wolf, Konono No 1, The Magic Numbers, Ebony Bones, Corinne Bailey Rae, Speech Debelle, Ms Dynamite, Gruff Rhys and fellow Super Furry Animal, Guto Pryce, and Bassekou Kouyate !
