About Me
Hi. My name is Shlomo. I make music with my mouth. Some people I have made music with include Polar Bear, DJ Yoda, The Mighty Boosh, Bjork, Martha Wainwright, Damon Albarn, Bill Bailey, Jarvis Cocker, Mad Professor and my beatboxing choir (the vocal orchestra).
Right now I make a lot of music at the Southbank Centre in London - I am currently an ‘artist in residence’ there. I’ve got a series of concerts called Music Through Unconventional Means and we make music with a different musical guest each time.
I play at a lot of gigs and festivals, and spend a lot of my time on larger commissions, creating new musical works for various organisations. Collaborating is my thing. I like pulling music out of people when they are not expecting it.
People often ask when I will be making an album but I can never make up my mind. If you want to find out more about my mind then check out my blog.
